What is FAMIS and
FWR?
FAMIS
is the Universities software program used to capture and track
Facilities-related jobs. FWR (FAMIS
Web Requests) is a web site created by the Office of Facilities that has
been linked to FAMIS to enable our Customers, in a few short minutes, to create
and submit routine work orders electronically.
Why use FWR?
-Enter routine, non-emergency service
requests electronically and eliminate phone calls, manual forms and faxes
-No more need to complete and fax the
FSR (Facilities Service Requests) form. Customers can create special project requests
with charging instructions online
-Monitor any active FAMIS Service
Requests and Work Orders, real-time for any Yale building
-Look up historical data on closed work
orders
-Create and download custom reports
from FWR into Excel
-Access to
detailed FAMIS billing information for those employees who currently have
authority to view detailed web financial reports
How
can I learn FWR?
The FAMIS Support Team offers a two-hour clinic and on-going
support with instructor, Erika Reilly. Through hands-on instruction, users will
learn how to access, read and input service requests for their department. If
you have a current Yale NET ID and Password, you can sign up to attend one of
the clinic dates listed below. Training is conducted in a relaxed, hands-on atmosphere.
Clinics are held in our Office of
Facilities Training Room located on the 2nd floor of 2WGS, 2 Whitney Avenue. Training requests should be sent via email to
erika.reilly@yale.edu. Participant scheduling
will be accommodated confirmed via email with class dates scheduled on a
first-come-first served basis.
Questions?
If you have any
follow-up questions about training, if you would like to attend one of the
clinics or would like to schedule a special session for your department (done
upon request), please contact Erika Reilly, the Trainer for this program: erika.reilly@yale.edu.
