Dear Yale Colleagues,

Effective today, Eric Uscinski is assuming the role of Director of Facilities Operations, leading both YSM and the central campus' Facilities Operations units.  Eric has worked at Yale for 31 years, most recently as the head of the Facilities Operation unit on central campus, and previously, for many years as a lead manager within Dining Services.With his high-level managerial skill and with his in-depth knowledge of our work environment, we are fortunate to have Eric accept this assignment. Please join me in supporting him in this role.

As of today, Rick Maffei has accepted a new role within the Yale University Security Department as Director of Operations.  Rick has led YSM Building Services & Operations as Director for the last 12 years.  During this time Rick provided a constant high level of management, led numerous improvements to the organization's processes, and overall, greatly increased the unit's effectiveness. I thank Rick for his years of tremendous commitment to the YSM's Facilities department and its staff and wish him continued success in his new role with the Security Department.
