"What is the purpose of the Customer Service Group"?

The Customer Service Group (CSG) was created as part of an overarching Facilities Operations reorganization. The CSG is comprised of six experienced facilities managers. These managers are essentially facilities generalists who possess intimate knowledge of the services and structure of the Facilities Operations Department. Using this knowledge, the CSG managers are responsible and accountable for acting as a liaison/advocate, facilitating communications between customers and the Facilities Department. Additionally, the CSG manages renovations, repairs and single system replacement projects under $200 thousand.

"What Happens when I call 2-6888 or submit a FAMIS Web Request"?

1. The CSC representative receives the request and enters the information into FAMIS.

2. An assessment is made to determine the priority level.
All work is categorized into one of three priorities:
Priority
1 - Emergency, drop everything and respond.
2 - Urgent requires prompt attention but does not pose a life/safety threat. Response within 48 hrs.
3 - Routine or Project request, includes normal repairs and projects which can be scheduled. Response with 14 days for routine repairs. Projects are dependent on scope and funding.
