Building Description:

Also referred to as theSchool Of Management Dining Hall, was originally built in 1886 as a carriage house. A total renovation in 1949 (including a new roof profile) by the Office of Douglas Orr transformed the building into the new chapel for the Berkeley Divinity School. Yale acquired the property in 1971 for the Department of Sociology. A major renovation with significant additions,( including a kitchen) created yet another life for the structure, a dining hall for the Hillhouse and Prospect Street area, serving the School of Management and the Social Science departments. The architects were Herbert S. Newman & Associates. [15 Mansfield Street]. North Campus [15.07]
